About Me

Born and raised, I am a lifelong Alaskan resident. I grew up in Anchorage but spent many summers down in Soldotna, AK at our property fishing and camping at the famous Kenai River with my family. I started my career with a State Farm Agent in May of 1996 which had initially been just a new job opportunity but soon became my passion and I knew that one day my end goal was to be an Agent myself to continue to help customers, friends, family and the community I live in. On June 1, 2017 my dream became a reality when I got to hang a sign and open the doors to Robin Lonas State Farm in Juneau, AK.  

As one of your local State Farm agents with 24+ years’ of experience, my team members and I are here and want to help make sure that life goes right for you!   You can go get a quote for insurance anywhere but me and my team want to ensure you have that personal touch and not only get your product needs met but also a feeling that you are an extension of the Robin Lonas State Farm Family. Whether it be at a local sporting event, community function, meeting you personally after an accident or just bumping into one another at our local shops and just say hello, we are here for you no matter day or night. Over the years, I have learned that people’s needs in Alaska are as complex, unique, and diverse as the land we live in.  For example, living in Juneau, it is a staple to of course have a boat, and that is definitely an area in which we can help keep you afloat.

As much as we are here to service individuals and families, we strongly believe in supporting our community.  Our team including myself are active members in our local Rotary Clubs, we donate to local schools, sports and events and are willing to give a lending hand to a fellow neighbor in need.

 Born in Southeast Alaska’s Little Norway, Petersburg, Alaska.  My family arrived in Alaska when it was only a territory of the United States.  I have always thought how enchanting Alaska’s beauty is to the dweller, not only the outdoor beauty, but the inner kindness and sense of community Alaskans embody daily.  Alaska truly is a special place to live, work and play.  State Farm is a Good Neighbor, which I believe matches the Alaskan spirit.  Helping Alaskans improve their family security through income protection plans and home or business from unexpected losses is what I enjoy discussing with my friends and neighbors daily. I have two teenage boys which truly have the Alaskan spirit and enjoy adventure hiking and biking. We enjoy beach walking, cabin camping and fires on the beach. ~

Everything I do starts with my customers. I’m absolutely focused on delivering a smooth insurance experience so that they can feel confident with their choices and their coverage. As a local State Farm agent serving people in Juneau, AK, I am dedicated to helping my neighbors understand their needs and find the right plan for their lives.

I grew up in Mount Shasta, CA and after studying music at Southern Oregon University and Fresno Pacific University, I enjoyed a short career teaching music full time for the Adventist School system in California. I taught Band, Choir and elementary school music classes and after suffering through many summers and dry months in California, I was ready for a change in scene and had the opportunity to accept a teaching position in Juneau, teaching music to kindergarten through 8th grade students. When Covid hit and the music stopped, I needed to find a new career and had a longing to work in an industry that I could feel good about helping others. Insurance was the answer and I wanted to work with an industry leader and so State Farm Insurance was the choice!

Trying to find the perfect team, I met Robin Lonas and ever since we have been making a difference in people’s lives taking customer service very seriously as we solve problems for our customers. We love knowing that we can change the trajectory of someone’s life in a single conversation. We’ll be there for you as you plan for your future, and when the unexpected happens, we’ll be there for you, making sure that you’re going to be okay. We take care of customers like they’re family, and being a big part of the community, we’re known as a caring, compassionate, and responsible team of professionals.

Customer service is a lost art that we are giving new life to every day, and we want you to know we’ll always put your needs first and we’re ready to help with your home, renters, auto, life or business insurance. Keeping your needs in focus for your risk management is our main goal.

My Juneau community is incredibly important to me, and I’m proud to give back through service groups and local nonprofits. When I’m not in the office helping Robin and our customers with a complimentary cup of coffee, you can usually find me playing trumpet in the local community bands. I’m also one of the conductors of the Juneau Volunteer Marching Band.
